Who is behind Prestige?
Prestige is developed and sold by Prestige Software Development, a business registered in the Netherlands with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK 98021354). Payments are processed by Stripe, PayPal, and OxaPay — card details never touch our servers, and card payments carry buyer protection. We have shipped updates continuously since 2023 with a public changelog and a public Discord community of over 21,000 members.
What does Prestige software do on my computer?
It runs code inside the Minecraft process and reads game state while you play — that is the full extent of it. It never reads your files, documents, browser data, or saved passwords; installs no drivers, services, startup entries, or anything that persists after you close it; contains no miner; sends no chat messages, screenshots, or gameplay anywhere; and modifies no application other than the game. When you close the game (or use the built-in self-destruct), nothing remains running.
Why does my antivirus or Windows SmartScreen flag Prestige?
Two expected reasons. Heuristics: injecting into a game process and protecting code with obfuscation looks similar to how actual malware hides, so heuristic engines flag it — a category problem every game tool faces. Policy: some vendors label any game cheat "PUA" or "hacktool" by definition. All Prestige binaries are Authenticode code-signed by our registered business (Sectigo certificate, publisher "Prestige Software Development"), and we submit false positives to antivirus vendors for whitelisting as they appear. Brand-new releases can still trigger reputation-based warnings such as SmartScreen until each file builds download history — verify the publisher name and the fingerprints below, then choose "More info" → "Run anyway".
What data does Prestige collect?
Your account username, email, and a hashed password; a set of hashed hardware identifiers used solely to enforce the one-PC-per-license rule; and, only if the client crashes, a crash report containing your username, client version, and crash reason. No files, no screenshots, no browsing data, no logs of what you do in game. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
How do I verify my download is genuine?
Download only from your dashboard at prestigeclient.vip — never from re-uploads, Discord attachments, or "cracked" copies, which are the most common real malware source in this space and the origin of most false "Prestige is a virus" stories. Then compare the file's SHA-256 with the current fingerprint shown on this page and on your dashboard.

PowerShell: Get-FileHash ".\Prestige Launcher.exe" — the hashes must match exactly.
Every Prestige binary is also Authenticode-signed: right-click the file → Properties → Digital Signatures → the signer must be Prestige Software Development (issued by Sectigo Public Code Signing CA R36, valid August 2026 – August 2027, SHA-1 thumbprint 32318E2970BE53AA2A5B86609A680A6C6AD6A39D). PowerShell: Get-AuthenticodeSignature ".\Prestige Launcher.exe" must report Valid. The thumbprint stays the same across releases, so it is the strongest single thing to check.
Is Prestige software digitally signed?
Yes. Every Windows executable we ship — the launcher, the components it downloads, and the legacy Manual Mapping Launcher — is Authenticode-signed with a Sectigo code-signing certificate issued to Prestige Software Development, our registered Dutch business, and countersigned with an RFC 3161 timestamp so signatures remain valid even after the certificate renews. Verify any file via right-click → Properties → Digital Signatures, or Get-AuthenticodeSignature in PowerShell; the details are in the verification answer above. The Java components run inside the JVM and are covered by the live SHA-256 fingerprints shown there.
Does anything stay on my PC after I close Prestige?
No services, no startup entries, no scheduled tasks, no hidden processes. The only files on your disk are the installer you downloaded and your own configs. The optional self-destruct removes even in-memory traces and confirms completion.
How do I report a security concern or a false antivirus detection?
Email [email protected] or open a ticket in our Discord server — security reports are answered personally. Include the antivirus vendor and detection name and we handle the vendor submission directly. Our security contact is also published at /.well-known/security.txt.
You may request a copy of your personal data, or its deletion, at any time by opening a support ticket in our Discord server or contacting us via the website. Deleting your data ends your license, since the account is the license.
In July 2026 our domain was temporarily flagged after a false malware report; we appealed through Cloudflare's official channel and the flag was lifted. If we ever have a genuine security incident affecting user data, we will disclose it in our Discord server and on this page.
